4 Quick Reasons to Book a Sunrise Beach Session

Maybe the thought of a sunrise beach session has never even crossed your mind until now. Perhaps you’re thinking you could never wake up that early, get yourself and your kids ready, and get out the door in time for such a cause. But I’d like you to stop and consider a few things and maybe… just maybe… I can convince you to book a sunrise beach session :)

Here’s 4 quick reasons:

  1. Kids Are Up Early

Summertime is upon us! And even though your mornings won’t look like the same hustle and bustle they did during the school year, the kids are still up and at ’em as soon as that morning light comes filtering through their windows. Why not take advantage?!

Just think: your kids who get up and get ready for school are more than capable of getting ready for a photo session!

2. Kids are Morning People

Most kids and babies are super happy in the morning. And during the summer, when the sun doesn’t set until 8 p.m., sunset sessions can sometimes feel just a bit too late. Younger children can especially have a hard time with later sessions.

But generally speaking, younger kids are usually super cheerful and happy during the morning hours!

3. Beat the Heat

The months of June, July, and August are usually some of the hottest months here in South Florida. While sunset sessions are super popular, during the summer months the sun has had all day to bake the sand, and you can end up pretty drenched in sweat by the end of your session!

But with a session held at sunrise, you can beat the heat!!

4. Beat the Crowds

One of my favorite things about sunrise beach sessions is that we have the beach all to ourselves! We are there early enough that the crowds haven’t started to build up yet! You can’t ask for more!

(Bonus Reason): Magical Light

I’m located on Florida’s east coast, and unlike the west coast, where the sun sets over the ocean, our sun rises over the Atlantic. The sunrise over the ocean produces a beautiful glow that lends itself to gorgeous beach photos!

Conclusion

So, while waking up before the sun might not sound appealing at first, sunrise sessions truly can be some of the most relaxed, joy-filled sessions of the entire summer. The beaches are quiet, the temperatures are cooler, the kids are happy, and the light is absolutely dreamy. It just might become your new favorite way to do family photos :
