I'm a Stuart wedding photographer and I love photographing weddings at private estates. The bride pictured here is getting ready in her future grandmother's mansion in Sailfish Point. The mansion was enormous. If you are familiar with Sailfish Point, you will know that it is surrounded by water and located next to the Stuart Inlet. The homes in this area are very beautiful.
The room that the bride got ready in was ornately decorated, and hanging on the wall was an elegant mirror. The bride had just finished putting on her veil, which was an 80 year old heirloom passed down from the women in the family. As she gave herself a final once over, I was able to take this picture which shows some of the beauty of the getting ready room.
Having your wedding at your home, or private estate is an intimate affair. I appreciate the small details and I like to incorporate them into the wedding photos because they are personal and meaningful to my clients.
Sometimes I will visit the location prior to the wedding date to tour the home and get a feel for the layout and an idea of what elements I can use to help tell the story of the day. It is nice to have a game plan prior to the event. For this particular wedding, I was able to tour it with the client's wedding planner, Allison Lewis of The Golden Pineapple Event Company. I highly recommend hiring a wedding planner for your special day.
