All four windows were down and the stereo was cranked. It was the first time I had ever purchased a ‘new’ car, well it was the first time I had purchased a car that was less than five years old. It had everything that I had envisioned it would. White exterior and light tan interior. Like cookies and cream, it just went together perfectly.
I blared Old Crow Medicine Show station on Pandora an extra decibel or two, just because I could. For the last seven years I had been driving around in a car whose speakers muffled and vibrated when turned up too high. Finally, being able to hear quality music made me feel like I had just heard it for the first time. I relished in the moment, cranking it up just a little bit more, tapping my hand on the steering wheel and let the wind blow my hair around without a care.
I’m now a total stickler when it comes to keeping this beauty clean. To all of my future passengers, please mind your crumbs :)
I'm still buzzing about my new car. And now, anywhere I drive is an experience and I am finding any possible excuse to drive it. On occasions such as this, I've found that Starbucks seems to have a magnetic pull on me. And by the way, the pumpkin spice lattes are back and they are scrumptious!!
