It was the luck of the Irish that it wasn’t pouring down rain at our mini session in Downtown Stuart. It had rained all day long. Thundering, lightning, just plain old yucky all day. Around 4 o’clock in the afternoon it began to clear up and I was hopeful we would have good weather for our portrait time near the water.
By the time our session rolled around, the sun was out and you couldn’t even tell that it had rained and stormed so horribly earlier that day. I walked down to the boardwalk to meet my clients and was thankful that we had something beautiful to work with. Although our session was short, it didn’t matter. Good light, is good light!
The family that I photographed was gorgeous and the children were so well behaved. The little girl was two and her brother was six. Both were very astute, and followed the guidance that I provided. I decided it would be best with the time we had to start photographing the children alone first, then add in the parents and grandparents. I posed the children on the dock and worked as quickly as I could, knowing that when working with younger children, time is not on my side!
I was so pleased with the images of the children. They really gave me more than I could have asked for! Next, we photographed the family together. These are some of my favorite photos to capture because they truly mean so much to mom. I mean, she has her whole world captured in one photograph, what could be any better?! Afterwards, we got a group shot which included the grandparents.
Here are a few of my favorites from our short time together, I hope you enjoy!
