What an honor to be able to photograph a wedding for one of my friends!! I've known Monica since the 7th grade! It was so incredibly amazing to be a part of one of the biggest events in her life.
Her smile, her bubbly personality and vivacious spirit instantly draws people to her. She can instantly light a room with her smile. So it wasn't any surprise when Monica stole Ryan's heart. Their wedding at the Old Fish House in Jupiter was the perfect combination of old rustic southern charm meets tropical paradise. The quaint old home sits tucked between an array of tall trees and mangroves. The red + white exterior was the perfect match for Monica and Ryan's red and gold themed wedding.
The day started out with a very overcast sky, which meant rain, yes rain! Although I had hoped for a chance that the sun would shine, if only for a while, it didn’t seem to be in the plan for the day. Yet, it didn’t matter. Ryan and Monica didn’t care if their feet got a little wet. Monica didn't mind if her hair got a bit soggy and her dress a bit damp, because both her and Ryan wanted the same thing: to be married outside underneath the oak canopy. One of the things that I love about this couple is their carefree attitude and love for nature.
They choose this location because of it’s beautiful outdoor scenery. Their vision for their wedding couldn't be stifled by mother nature. Their friends and family happily popped open their umbrellas and cheered the them on as Monica and Ryan as they said "I do". Their day was absolutely amazing. Monica was a STUNNING bride!!!
Ryan and Monica, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!! I wish you guys the very best as you set out on life's greatest journey together!! May you be blessing to one another :)
I also want to give a HUGE shout out to my second shooter, Kim Smith. You truly are amazing and were and always are a big help, thank you! Thanks to Christina Heissenberg for all of your assistance on this day as well!!!
Ryan built a beautiful arbor for the ceremony and they ended up having their first look right underneath it!
AHH!! One of my all time favorite photos!!! I can feel the stillness and joy in this one.
Aren't they just a gorgeous couple?!
Ryan was always snuggling up to Monica the whole time, it was so cute!
Monica's family traveled from two different continents just to see her get married, how cool is that?!
Love the joy radiating in Monica's face as mother watches from her seat :)
LOVE this view!
Their reception was so unique to who they are as people.
Gold glitter, my favorite!!!
Last dance of the night!
Rice send off at the end of the night, love this shot!
Last shot of the evening. Ryan and Monica head out in their getaway car :) LOVE this one!
