The best part about the summer time is the SUN! I love spending time outdoors and I especially love outdoor high school senior portrait sessions!
Vanessa and I had an early start to the day, as we had discussed meeting up at 8:00am. I wanted to take advantage of the benefits of shooting in the morning light. It was important to me that we start our shoot early enough to ensure that the light would not be too harsh.
After having the inevitable cup of coffee first thing in the morning, I headed to downtown Stuart to meet Vanessa. The sunlight was gently streaming over the St.Lucie River and by the time we started our shoot, it had made it's way over the horizon. It was pretty tranquil :)
We began our shoot on the boardwalk and eventually headed for cover once the sun got higher in the sky. I must say, shooting in the morning is much more challenging than shooting in the evening. I somehow feel like the quality of light is more intense in the morning than it is towards the late afternoon, but maybe that's just me? I don't know. . . What I do know, is that I love the challenge and I love the feeling of starting out the day with a photo session!
